Entrance to Brighton Museum & Art Gallery is free

Opening Times

Tuesday 10am-7pm
Wednesday-Saturday 10am-5pm
Sunday 2-5pm
Closed Mondays, except public holidays 10am-5pm

Please note: Brighton Museum will close 23-27 March 2009 for essential maintenance

     

Guided Tours

Guided tours of the museum are available for groups.  Visit the guided tours page for more information.


Disabled Access
All areas of the Museum are accessible for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility. There is also a fully accessible toilet.

Booking
School parties, both for independent visits and Education Services, must book in advance with Museums Education

Lunch Room available, £6 booking fee for 30 minutes, lunch room must be booked in advance with Museums Education

Gift shop

Brighton Museum Gift Shop stocks items reflecting the spirit of eclectic design in the museum

Private photography

Photography and video filming is permitted for private use only and may not be reproduced.
Photography and filming is not permitted in the temporary exhibition galleries.

The use of tripods is not permitted.

Professional filming and photography

Brighton Museum & Art Gallery offers attractive and adaptable locations for professional filming and photoshoots.
To ensure your shoot works as efficiently as possible, you must book in advance.

Our standard facility fees are charged by the hour (or part of an hour):

Interiors Exteriors
Daytime (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) £200 £150
Evenings and weekends £300 £200

We will calculate special fees for the more complicated projects. All fees are subject to VAT.

The Gallery Cafe

The Gallery Cafe is open for refreshments, light lunches and afternoon teas.

How to get here
The Museum is fifteen minutes walk from Brighton train station. Buses stop either outside the Royal Pavilion on Steine Gardens, or on North Street which is within 5 minutes walk of the Museum.
