Browse objects in the Decorative Art collection

The Decorative Art collections can be found throughout Brighton and Hove’s museums. They include important Regency furniture on loan from HM the Queen and silver gilt from the collections of the Marquises of Londonderry and Ormonde in the Royal Pavilion. The contents of Preston Manor, a historic house, include the Macquoid Bequest of 16th and 17th century furniture.

The Willett Collection of pottery and porcelain illustrating popular British history is displayed at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery. Also on show are outstanding holdings of British and European 20th-century decorative art and design. These include Art Nouveau and Art Deco as well as contemporary design.

Visitors to Hove Museum & Art Gallery can see selections from the extensive collections of English ceramics as well as displays of contemporary crafts including the Arts Council England (South East) Craft Collection.
