The Decorative Art collections can be found throughout Brighton and Hoves
museums. They include important Regency furniture on loan from HM the Queen and
silver gilt from the collections of the Marquises of Londonderry and Ormonde in
the Royal Pavilion. The contents of Preston Manor, a historic house, include the
Macquoid Bequest of 16th and 17th century furniture.
The Willett Collection of pottery and porcelain illustrating popular British
history is displayed at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery. Also on show are outstanding
holdings of British and European 20th-century decorative art and design. These
include Art Nouveau and Art Deco as well as contemporary design.
Visitors to Hove Museum & Art Gallery can see selections from the extensive
collections of English ceramics as well as displays of contemporary crafts including
the Arts Council England (South East) Craft Collection.
