The Local History collection reflects Brighton and Hove's position as fashionable
seaside resort and includes a large number of items reflecting the historical
and contemporary industries of the city. Items of local significance are displayed
at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery and Hove Museum & Art Gallery. There
is also a strong collection of photographs of regional significance, part of which
can be accessed through the
My Brighton and Hove community history project and
Brighton & Hove in Pictures digitisation project.
