Introduction

This silver shape moulded porcelain teapot has ogee-curved flutes between the straight riges on the body. The spout is S-shaped and the teapot has an ear handle. A raised collar encloses a flat circular lid with finial border decoration in iron red. The painted chinese scene shows a boy in magenta and green chasing a butterfly and two chinese gentlemen, one dressed in blue and the other in magenta. The base has a New Hall pattern number 421.
