Introduction

This bowl, "Gui No.1" is made in opalescent glass with the exterior moulded with mistletoe. It was designed by Rene Lalique around 1922, and is etched on the base "R. LALIQUE, FRANCE; NO. 3223". The bowl is used to illustrate the history of twentieth century design.
