This soft-paste porcelain teapot is of a footed round shape, with a bell lid to accomodate a silvered metal globe tea infuser. The infuser is suspended by a thin chain, and is inscribed 'Chandlers' Patent'. The teapot is enamelled with flowers and gilt edging to spout, rim and foot. It contains four related documents. The teapot was made by Coalport of Shropshire.
