  Aerial Photographs

Aerial view of Brighton, c1970

On several occasions, the Borough Surveyor's department took aerial photographs of Brighton. This was presumably to examine the town's development on a large scale, and often to look at the impact of major projects such as the Kingswest development.

The department also took several photographs of projects outside of the boundaries of Brighton. These include Southwick chemical works and the site of Shoreham airport.
