What does it mean to be Chinese in the UK today? What might be the relationship between collections of Chinese material culture in UK museums and Chinese people based in the UK? How should this relationship be reflected through museum collections and exhibitions?

Bringing together specialists in Chinese arts, contemporary art practice and museum curatorship, this one-day conference seeks to investigate the links between collections and communities and the potential role of the artist within the museum.
