Commercial directories, such as Kelly's, enable family historians to locate
ancestors in a particular place at a specific time. Our street directories cover
Brighton as well as many other towns and villages in Sussex.

The History Centre's collection of local electoral rolls starts in 1836. Volumes
from 1900 onwards are on open access, although restrictions are in place for viewing
more recent copies. Please contact the History Centre
for details on these restrictions.
